Gift of Life Fundraiser, September 24 at 6pm

The Rotary Club of Wall Street New York invites you to a fundraiser for the Gift of Life Foundation taking place at Maggie’s Place Bar and Restaurant on September 24, 2014 from 6 pm to 9 pm.

Please join The Rotary Club of Wall Street on September 24th for our third Guest Bartender Night at Maggie’s Place, a fine eating and drinking establishment, located at 47th St. and Madison Ave. The format of the evening is an informal Social supporting a great cause, The Gift of Life Foundation.

For more than 30 years, Rotary Clubs have supported the Gift of Life International program. During this time, the equivalent of $500 million has been raised and more than 10,000 children, from over 60 countries, have been saved. We help fund a heart operation for a young child who is in dire need of an operation that is not available in their native community. We bring the child and the mother to NYC and provide housing for them in our homes. We provide financial assistance and work with local hospitals to provide heart surgeries at a significantly reduced rate by dedicated Health professionals. In the short 5 year history of our club we have assisted with surgeries for 2 Gift of Life children.

Please bring as many friends as you would like and join Rotarians, from the NYC Metro Area, and our friends to socialize and make new friends. There are no cover charges or raffles. Maggie’s Place has generously allowed us to collect all the tips that you would normally provide to the Bartenders. We have grand plans to multiply the proceeds, raised from the night, through matching grants from corporate sponsors and Rotary. So, your modest contribution will truly go a long way towards saving a young child’s life. The previous events were great fun and we expect a huge turnout this year. Please join us on September 24th from 6 pm to 9 pm and help us support a great cause.
