Gift of Life International
The Mission of Gift of Life is to further the cause of world peace and understanding by facilitating free medical services to children suffering from heart disease regardless of race, creed, sex or national origin and who otherwise lack access to such services.
The RCWS has sponsored one lifesaving heart operation for a little girl from Kosovo and provided a host family for another little boy from Jamaica. We have also established the Stanley Kules Gift of Life Fund for which we continue to raise money in support of Gift of Life.
Freshwater Project International
Freshwater Project International is an organization devoted to supporting comprehensive freshwater projects in Malawi, Africa. The approach is unique in that the organization focuses on one country and partners with birthing centers and reforestation organizations to create water projects that have a high level of impact and sustainability.
The Rotary Club of Wall Street has strongly supported Freshwater Project International for over three years. Starting with raising thousands of dollars for the organization by hosting a documentary screening of “Water First” in 2010. In March 2013, we brought together attendees from over 10 countries to raise more than $1,200 from a cocktail hour event. At the very same event, the Rotary Club of Wall Street received the charity’s prestigious “Water Angel” award for its accomplishments and support.
New York Cares
Each October and April, we join fellow Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Metro NYC and Rotaractors from the Rotaract Club of United Nations for the New York Cares Hands on NY service days.
Shelter Box
ShelterBox is a premier international aid organization that provides emergency shelter and life-saving equipment following disasters such as earthquake, volcano, flood, hurricane, cyclone, tsunami or conflict.
The Rotary E-Club of Wall Street has been supporting ShelterBox USA by raising money supporting ShelterBox’s mission to deliver humanitarian relief in the form of equipment and materials that bring shelter, warmth and dignity to people made homeless by natural or other disasters worldwide.
New York City Public School System
In 2013, the Rotary Club of Wall Street’s Board of Directors under the leadership of Mr. Thomas H. Rudy, President, decided to create a partnership in education with the New York City public school system.
The Rotary Club of Wall Street took on this responsibility and worked with the High School of Economics and Finance to create the Youth Leadership Council with long term objectives. The Rotary Club of Wall Street and the High School of Economics and Finance will work together and humanize the process where students will gain a portfolio of experience and will collectively and individually transition an environment that is completely safe for learning.
The purpose of installing the Youth Leadership Council was to promote tolerance and train these young role models to become leaders in their high school by designing projects that have a positive impact on the students so that they can lead their peers to recognize the purpose of service to their community.
ROTARY AND ROTARACT UNITED FOR UKRAINE

More than 2 million people have fled Ukraine to neighboring countries. The UN has declared this to Europe’s worst refugee crisis since WW2. This is a humanitarian disaster.
The Rotary E-Club of Wall Street is appalled by the events unfolding in Ukraine and is leveraging its global membership, talents, and networks to provide living spaces to refugees fleeing from
the Russian invasion in Ukraine. While we desperately hope that diplomacy can prevail, we stand with the Ukrainian people defending their freedom and independence.
The initiative “Spaces for Ukrainian Refugees” was started by Rotaractors in Ukraine. Very quickly, the Rotary Club Berlin Platz der Republik became involved and garnered the support of the Rotary E-Club of Wall Street and the Rotary Club Berlin International.
We joined forces to strengthen this initiative and developed a free matching platform for Ukrainian refugees and hosts across Europe. Our collective goal is to secure temporary accommodations for Ukrainian refugees while en-route to their intended destination.
#ROTARYRESPONDS IN HAITI: Safeguarding Communities from COVID-19
The Rotary Club of Petion-Ville, Haiti has partnered with the Rotary E-Club of Wall Street to purchase medical waste incinerators for hospitals in Haiti.
As an emergency response, the project decreased the spread of COVID-19 by protecting communities from infected medical waste. The incinerators enabled hospitals to provide care to Haiti’s most vulnerable while protecting the environment and safeguarding communities from infectious diseases during and beyond the pandemic.
Through our Charity Concert on 26 June, 2020, we raised over USD $156,000 in commitments to support our project!

Bringing a Young Leader from Venezuela to RYLA in 2019
Rotary E-Club of Wall Street (ReCWS) enabled the participation of Raul, a young leader from Venezuela, to the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) in Washington, D.C., in 2019.
Raulinson Reaño is a Founding member and Past President of the Interact San Sebastián in District 4380 of Venezuela. Interact – a Rotary program – brings together young people ages 12 – 18 to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of “Service Above Self”. Raul’s 70-member Interact Club has demonstrated this power by doing a number of volunteer activities ranging from helping the community to supporting Rotary’s End Polio Now campaign.
Our efforts have been matched by additional generous support from others in Rotary District 7230, including the Rotary Club of Metro New York City, the Rotary Club of New York, and other Rotarians.
