February 8: Join us for three speakers

Marlynne Bidos who has been awarded the prestigious Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarship. Marlynne is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Harlem. In 2012 she will study in Hong Kong to obtain her LL.M. in Intellectual Property. In addition, Marlynne will speak to the club about her Haiti based non-profit organization Konbit Pou Edikasyon “Working Together for Education”.

Prof. Gimede Gigante
On April 6, 2009, a terrible earthquake struck the city of L’Aquila in Italy. It destroyed an entire region, killed more than 300 people, and left thousands homeless. Rebuilding efforts are still ongoing and the region is in dire need of help. Prof. Gimede Gigante is leading an Italian delegation to New York to raise awareness of this tragedy. He will be speaking about the earthquake, its effects on the region, its current status today, and what can be done to help the people in Italy.
