New York Cares: Hands On New York Day (coordinator: Jens)
The Rotary Club of Wall Street, the Rotaract Club at the United Nations and Rotary Club of Metro NYC will be joining 5,000 volunteers to give New York City a good spring greening and get our parks, gardens, and community spaces ready for summer
by gardening, painting, weeding, and revitalizing these urban oases. Last year, in public sites throughout the five boroughs, volunteers filled 10,400 garbage bags with winter debris, painted 9,305 feet of fencing and
transformed 75 of our city’s parks, community gardens and green spaces – all to beautify New York City and prepare it for spring.
