Harris Zafar, the National Spokesperson and the National Director of Youth Outreach for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community – the oldest Muslim organization in America, will be speaking about the Lower Manhattan Islamic Center and the nationwide “Muslims for Peace” initiative, which has created a powerful voice to answer the oft-asked question “Where are the moderate Muslims?” The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community’s concerted public condemnation of terrorism was prompted by the attempted bombing in New York’s Times Square in May 2010 but was necessitated by much broader considerations.
