This week, we have Ms. Kate Crowley, who is the Director of Kenya Program at East African Center, as the speaker for Rotary Club of Wall Street New York on Wednesday, 4/13/2011.
The East African Center for the Empowerment of Women and Children has a strong mission of creating sustainable, community-led development. The EAC currently runs a nursery and primary school, a health clinic, a community health program, and an adult education program in Takaungu, Kenya. Ms. Crowley will share EAC’s mission, the background of the program, and how Rotary Clubs around the world are involved.
