Outreach Meal Packaging Program is taking place Saturday, October 19th. We are packaging prepared dry meals for donation to food pantries. Our club’s contribution is $2,550 which will result in 10,200 prepared meals. We need up to 10 volunteers to help package.
Packaging will take place at the United Methodist Church in White Plains, located at 250 Bryant Avenue, White Plains, NY. There will be two shifts 3-6pm and 6-9pm.
Each meal serves up to six people. So our 10,200 meals are actually serving 61,200 people. To date RCWS is the largest donor out of the entire district. We are donating these meals to St. Francis Food Pantries who has a network of food pantries they will distribute to in NYC.
