September 19 – event with Silverstein Properties at WTC Construction Site

On Wednesday, September 19th, we will NOT be meeting at the Downtown Association.
Instead, we will be having a joint meeting with Silverstein Properties, the development company of the World Trade Center. We will be having our meeting at the Silverstein offices in 7 WTC where we will be having a series of presentations followed by a networking reception.
Preceding this meeting, we will be given an exclusive tour of the World Trade Center site! This will be a unique opportunity for our members to get an unprecedented glimpse at what has been going on behind the construction fences. More importantly, we will be exploring common interests between Silverstein Properties and the Wall Street Rotary Club with respect to service projects and our dedication to the Downtown Manhattan community.
Please note, due to the site visits and WTC hours of operation, we will meet at 4.45pm sharp at the corner of Church Street and Liberty Street.
There are two options to choose from:
1.) We have a limited number of spots available for a tour of the #4 WTC tower. We will ride up the elevator at the outside of the building all the way to the top. We will be accompanied by a representative of Silverstein Properties who will provide us with detailed information. For this tour sign-up preference will be given to RCWS members. Everyone must be wearing long pants and hiking boots or similar. You will be suited up with hard hats, safety vests, and safe goggles. In case all available spots are filled up, you can choose the second option, which is…
Please note:
Everyone attending a tour of the World Trade Center construction site is required to wear long pants and hiking or construction boots or shoes. Proper attire is mandatory.
2.) a visit of the Ground Zero Memorial site for approximately 45 minutes. These passes are very rare and usually extremely limited.
Following the site visits, we will proceed to the 10th floor of 7 WTC with presentations by both Silverstein properties and our Club. We will be exploring shared interests and the potential for future collaboration. Will will then have a reception with wine & cheese for fellowship and networking. We will end the event at the usual 8pm at the latest.
This meeting, just like DTA meetings, will be free of charge for all RCWS members. All interested parties NEED to RSVP and register for the event.
