December 14: Speaker: David Steinman (Can Democracy Promotion Solve America’s Economic Crisis?)

David Steinman has 25 years experience working with foreign democracy revolutions. He was a consulting expert to the U.S. National Security Council during the overthrow of Haiti’s Baby Doc Duvalier and to the exiled Aristide government.

Mr. Steinman assisted SE Asian anti-Communist resistance movements with the US Council for World Freedom and Chinese dissidents following the Tiananmin Square Massacre. He was strategic adviser to the Ethiopian democracy movement during its 2005 civil disobedience campaign and surprise election victory, voted that year’s “Most Important African Event” in a BBC poll. He is a graduate of the Wharton School.
