Peter Went, PhD, CFA, is a Senior Researcher for GARP’s Research Center, where he develops risk management resources and conducts research in financial risk management. He is a member of the board of Woodlands Financial Services Corporation and a widely held technology company. Previously, Peter worked as an investment analyst for a Nordic boutique investment firm. He also taught finance at Bucknell University, University of Nebraska at Lincoln and the Graduate School of Business at the Central European University.
Peter is the co-author of Foundations of Banking Risk (Wiley) and Market Risk Management, Credit Risk Management, Operational Risk Management and Integrated Bank Risk Management. His publications cover topics such as bank mergers, risks in foreign exchange and global equity markets, and banking risks. Peter holds an MSc in economics from the Stockholm School of Economics, a PhD in finance from the University of Nebraska and he is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
