At the October 14, 2009 meeting, Susanne Gellert, (right) the interim president of the The Rotary Club of Wall Street, welcomed the club’s first international visiting Rotarian, Elena Grigoreva. Elena (left) is from the Rotary Club of Moscow, one of the first Rotary clubs established in Russia in 1994. Elena, an attorney who is in New York on business, spoke briefly about some of the humanitarian projects that her club conducts in Moscow. While, no one can say for sure, the meeting of the two clubs would make Karl Marx and Adam Smith proud.
