Talk description: Before the wife-husband political team of Hillary and Bill, there was George and Lurleen, Juan and Evita. When Alabama’s fiery Governor George Wallace ran his wife Lurleen for Alabama governor – and she won Big Time – he was in for an unwelcome surprise!
Janice Law just released her 6th nonfiction book AMERICAN EVITA; LURLEEN WALLACE the first full biography of America’s third woman governor, and Alabama’s only woman governor. Governor Lurleen, the white wife of avowed segregationist George, in 1968 was eulogized by a Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. lieutenant: “A dark shadow has been cast across the horizon of America by the death of the Honorable Governor Lurleen Wallace”, he said in a public statement.

Judge Janice Law has spoken to more than 100 Rotary Clubs across America. Judge Law has done an interview with WTSU radio, the National Public Radio affiliate for the southeastern region. She has met with Alabama Governor Robert Beasley’s Chief of Staff Seth Hammett, and the Alabama Lt Governor, been the subject of a feature article in the Montgomery Advertiser, and had book signings in many cities. She is the author of 6 books, one of which was a 2007 nonfiction finalist for the Texas Book Award. She has been a featured author at prestigious book festivals in America.
