Please join Rotary Club of Wall Street New York on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 in welcoming Paul Katz as our speaker, who will be speaking about Rotary is “this close” – Polio Plus.
Mr. Katz is the founder and CEO of Commit Media LLC – “Entertainment for a Cause” where he utilizes the power of entertainment to raise awareness and funds for non-profit organizations. His music career started as a D.J. in London in early 1980’s. In 1983, he joined the then fledgling Zomba Music Group’s UK operation and two years later, he moved to New York to build Zomba’s USA operations.
Throughout his twenty years as a senior executive at Zomba, Mr. Katz was integral in shaping independent record labels such as Jive, Silvertone, etc. and worked with prominent artists in music industry such as Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Pink, Will Smith, Billy Ocean, etc. He also played a key role in producing and distributing movies such as “Crossroads” starting Britney Spears for Zomba.
